In the Spring of 2009 we made some changes to the Affiliates Control Panel to support our new Network Sales initiative which is designed to break down the barriers between Plimus Platform users and increase revenues for everyone, both Affiliates and Vendors.
We have also got a new set of video and screenshot tutorials that will help new Plimus Affiliates get started on the Plimus platform, and make it easier for Plimus Vendors start working with Affiliates.

There is some updated behavior in the Control Panel, especially in the area of the Contracts you're empowered to sell.
Next you'll notice that notifications are much-improved - you'll be receiving email confirmations on every sale, and have the option to use Plimus' Instant Payment Notification (IPN) service to receive confirmations programmatically, so you can track them in your own database.
In the Reports section the reports selection makes it easier to keep an eye on how your business is running.
With the updated platform, your items are listed by Product set - and clickable. Click into the Product set and you'll see the list of various Contracts associated with it that you are approved to sell, as well as the agreed commission rate.
Click into one of the Contracts, and you will find Contract images where applicable, the Links you need to market the Contract, more granular information on the commission structure, and a place to add both a script to collect Instant Payment Notification data and an alternative email address for sales notifications.
Each time a sale is made, you will receive an email confirmation; it won't include the customer's personal information, but it will tell you the time and date of the sale, as well as the Product/Contract details, so you will be able to keep track of your volume.
Use of the Instant Payment Notification (IPN) system has been extended to the Affiliate Community. This simple, HTTP(S) Post system delivers the relevant details on each sale to a URL of your choosing.
You will find when you access the Reports section of the Control Panel that you have a lot more reports, allowing you to maintain control of your business more effectively. Broadly speaking, you have the same reports available to you as the primary product suppliers, also known as Vendors, with the appropriate customer information included.
There's no need to do anything at all to get started making the most of this enhancement: simply login to your account on the Plimus Control Panel and start work.
